主要的研究著重於計算機架構、平行處理、異質運算、效能最佳化、資訊安全、嵌入式系統設計等。近年的研究領域也包括雲端運算技術、Big Data 等。
於台大資工所成立 Performance, Applications and Security Lab (PASLAB)。

JP (Jeng Peng) Shieh
Received B.S.E.E. and M.EMBA degrees from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 1986 and 2007 respectively. Enrolling phD in Computer Science and Information Engineering of National Taiwan University from 2008.
Worked in designing a machine translation system from 1988 to 1991. Co-designed a client-server OLTP middleware for banking system from 1991 to 1996. Founded a software house and developed Internet e-commerce system from 1996 to 2002. Led the R&D team of PROTON Inc., Taiwan, and conducted a series of novel video product from 2003 to 2009.
Research interests and areas of publication include embedded and mobile system design, performance optimization, system virtualization, and Cloud computing.

高至辰 Chih-Chen Kao
Chih-Chen Kao was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He received his M.S. degree in computer science from the National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2014. Currently, he is a Ph.D student of the Institute of the Networking and Multimedia, which is the graduate institute in the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan.
From 2011 to 2012, he was invited to participate the OPTIMI (Online Predictive Tools for Intervention in Mental Illness) project which is a research project funded by the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme Personal Health Systems, at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
His current research interests include heterogeneous computing, runtime system design and compiler optimization techniques.
